Ventilation
The built-in Air Unit runs from 8am – 8pm daily to allow a natural exchange of fresh air for the basement areas.
Air Purifier
We use the EV-35 air purifier which has a high airflow and is able to effectively clean the air; the indoor air is sterilised via the medical-grade True HEPA filtration, and odour is also removed via the activated charcoal pre-filter.
Safety and Security
To prevent outsiders/strangers from entering the kindergarten classrooms, the lift security system will be activated during school hours. In case of need, parents can press the doorbell at the staircase for assistance.
Maintenance of Premises/Building
To prevent breeding of mosquitoes, fogging and pest-control services are applied on every alternate week. Appropriate insect repellent is also used at the outdoor play areas.
Inspection of building and stability of ground is carried out by architectural consultants annually in December.
Apart from the preventive measures taken to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment, we also need parents’ understanding and cooperation for the following areas:
1. Please screen your child daily before school to check for fever, unusual rash on the hands and feet, or unusual ulcers in the mouth or throat area, which may be symptoms of chicken pox or Hand-foot-mouth disease.
2. Please keep your child at home if he/she is running a fever, having a chesty cough, profuse runny nose, diarrhea, or is on medication.
3. Kindly apply insect repellent for your child if he/she is prone to mosquito bites.
4. Do not leave any medicine in child’s bag. The kindergarten staff is not allowed to apply medication for a child on her own accord, and is also not allowed to receive instruction from parents/caregivers to administer medication of any type to the children.
5. Kindergarten children will only be released to their parents or authorized caregiver(s) prearranged during registration. In case of change, parents are required to call the kindergarten at least 30 minutes before dismissal hours to inform the details of the temporal authorized person to pick child up. However, this is not encouraged.
6. For the benefit of the child who is found to be unwell in school, parents are required to pick him/her up or arrange for a caregiver to bring child home as soon as possible.
- A child who is unwell is not allowed to be sent home by the school transport.
- A doctor’s certification is required for a child who has recovered from any infectious disease such as the chicken pox or hand-foot-mouth disease, in order to return to school.
